Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:
Tolles Career and Technical Center is seeking a motivated and service-oriented Student Recruiting and Admissions Specialist to lead efforts in growing student enrollment and increasing awareness of career-technical education opportunities. This position will coordinate recruitment events, support the admissions process, and build meaningful relationships with students, families, schools, and the community. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with a passion for workforce development and student success.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement student recruitment and enrollment strategies aligned with district goals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective students and families during the admissions process.
  • Coordinate and participate in recruitment events, including school visits, open houses, shadowing experiences, and career fairs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with partner school staff (especially counselors and career advisors).
  • Maintain accurate records and tracking tools for student applications and enrollment data.
  • Create and deliver engaging presentations and printed/digital materials for students, parents, and staff.
  • Collaborate with the marketing/communications specialist to ensure consistent outreach messaging.
  • Use data to evaluate enrollment trends and adjust recruitment strategies as needed.
  • Promote the mission and value of career-technical education through public engagement and outreach.
  • Regularly report progress, trends, and challenges to administration.
 

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in communications, education, sales / marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience in admissions, student recruitment, education, or marketing.
  • Strong written, verbal, and public speaking skills; confident in engaging with diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with student information systems is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends for events and outreach.
  • Professionalism, flexibility, and excellent customer service skills required.
