JOB SUMMARY: We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Electrical Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the electrical trades, along with a passion for teaching and mentoring students. This individual will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging curriculum, providing hands-on instruction, and preparing students for careers in the electrical industry.
- Develop and implement curriculum for electrical courses, incorporating industry standards and best practices.
- Deliver engaging and interactive instruction to students, utilizing a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
- Provide hands-on training and demonstrations in electrical techniques, tools, and equipment.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel motivated and empowered to succeed.
- Assess student progress and performance, providing feedback and guidance for improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues and industry professionals to stay updated on current trends and developments in the electrical industry.
- Participate in departmental meetings, professional development activities, and other school-related events as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the electrical trade industry.
- Knowledge and experience with hand and power tools, safety (OSHA), construction drawings, National Electrical Code, basic circuits and electrical theory, and residential, commercial, and industrial electric.
- Previous teaching or training experience is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate students.
- Commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Relevant certifications in electrical work (e.g., Journeyman Electrician, Master Electrician) preferred.
- Candidates must have or obtain a valid Ohio teaching certificate/license to teach Electrical Trades (171002) Endorsements in other areas would be beneficial additions including: (Construction-Design and Build 171805, Heavy Equipment 171003, Masonry 171004, and Plumbing and Pipefitting 171007).
- Candidates currently hold or are willing to secure a current certification with the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER).

- Competitive salary commensurate with experience. (Salary range: $47,581.00 - $83,014.00)

189 day contract for first year new teachers; 185 days in subsequent contracts.
